Here is an assortment of some of the tables I have built over the years.
These tables are among the first I built back in 2003. The windows came from a garage remodel in Lake Elmo, and the wood from a house remodel in Ham Lake. The wood on the top is weathered cedar from the exterior of the Ham Lake house.
This next table is one of my favorites. The wood came from some property near my parents house. The landowner took down an oak near this oak I used to build the table, and when he did, his tree broke the top off the one I used. I talked to the landowner and he agreed to give me the base of the tree if I cut up the parts I didn’t want into firewood for him. So I milled my oak right there in the forest with my chainsaw. I dried the boards for over year in my garage and then built this table. If you’ll notice the “flecking” in the oak, this is only seen when you quarter saw the wood. This table resides in my porch.
